= Season Options = When Loading a Season, here are your list of Options: Resume Game: Goes back to a Saved Game, or starts next game. Also, in this section, you can scroll between the players by pressing Right and Left, also you can get to some quicker by sorting them (best to worst Batting, etc. To see the player names in this, check my Teams/Players/Fields section. Now, back to the Main Menu Options: Cards: Shows the players and describes them and their ratings. Difficulty: Set the Difficulty between Tee-Ball, Easy, Medium, and Hard. Turning them On means that people will drop the ball, etc during gameplay. Innings: Select if you want 6 or 9 Innings in the game. If it is outside the square, don't swing, otherwise, give it a go.
Shows where the ball will be thrown by the pitcher when you're at bat. Pitch Locator: Turn Pitch Locator On and Off. This tells you where the batter thinks the ball will cross the plate. Music: Allows you to turn Music On and Off. Here they are: Sound: Allows you to turn Sound Effects On and Off. To modify them, use Left and Right on the Control Pad. Options: Allows you to modify the game's options. Also, to determine who is Player 1 and Player 2, the purple end of the Link Cable is Player One, and the gray end of the Link Cable (connected to the GameBoy Advances for both ends) is Player 2. There is a loose socket in one of the Link Cable connections. One of the GameBoy Advances does not have a Backyard Baseball game pak in it. You are using something other than a GameBoy Advance Link Cable 2. Note: If you are having problems with Multiplayer, then it may be one of these things: 1. Using Multiplayer, you can trade players with someone, do a Home Run Derby against each other, or play against each other Head to Head. Multiplayer: To do Multiplayer, you need to GameBoy Advances, a GameBoy Advance Link Cable, and two Backyard Baseball game paks. Otherwise, Load your current season, and continue where you are. If you're starting a New Season, create your name and team, and pick the players you want to have on your team.
Season Play: Lets you play a full season. Single Game: Lets you play a solo game where you select the team you are and who you play against. You select the game type, opponent (optional), and the field. Options = Main Menu: Quick Play: Plays a Random Game Home Run Derby: Lets you play a Home Run Derby where you try and hit Home Runs. Then, when the picture pitches the ball, the runner will advance. First, hold R and press the button you wish for the runner to steal (right for First, Up for Second Base, and left for Third Base). The runner that has a Big Star is the one that can be controlled (the map corresponds the field, and shows where the runners are). Also, to check which runner you're advancing, look at the map when the ball is hit. Batting: Up/Down: Select Bat Type (Power, Line Drive, etc) A: Swing Bat Control Pad: Select Batting Stance = Running: = Note that this is when you're up to bat and the ball is hit in the field: A: Advance Runner B: Retreat Runner Control Pad: Change which runner to retreat/advance (right for First Base, Up for Second Base, and Left for Third Base). A: Select Pitch Control Pad: Move Pitch Locator (where you pitch the ball) B: Cancel Pitch Start: Pause Game = Fielding: = Control Pad: Move Fielder (one that is closest to the ball) A: Throw Ball to pitcher A + Control Pad: Throw to fielder (down to Home Plate, right for 1st bade, up for 2nd bade, and left for third base) To catch a fly ball, get under the target in the field (where the ball will land), and you should catch it.
